Calcutta is the first city in India to host the Gay Pride Walk. It is only now that other cities like Delhi and Bangalore are coming into the fold. Homosexuality in India is still considered to be illegal. The Indian Penal Code's Section 377 criminalises the act of Homosexuality. This law has now been challenged by some human rights group working for the rights of sexual minorities in India. Currently court hearings are taking place at the Delhi High Court, India. Confusion prevails over the removal of the law.
